Dr Angela Jain has her academic background in urban and landscape planning and wrote her PhD dissertation on “Sustainable Mobility Management” at the Humboldt University of Berlin. From 2005 until 2020 she worked as „Director Infrastructure & Society“ at the nexus Institute for Cooperation Management and Interdisciplinary Research. At TU Berlin she led applied research projects in the fields of sustainable and inclusive urban development, democratic innovation, tools for citizen participation, deliberation and co-creation in urban decision making in Europe and internationally between 2014 and 2020. She is still a guest lecturer in the international MBA Program „Sustainable Mobility Management“ and „Sustainable Building“. Currently, Angela Jain works at the Senate Chancellery of Berlin as co-lead of the Smart City team.
